Bettie Page: that divine pinup girl from the '50s era! She was the prrrfect mixture of naughty and nice ... innocence and delight.

Bettie has been resurrected time and time again - and now, into the 21st Century, she still thrives in the underground (and not so underground) limelight, delighting a variety of folks from different strokes - all of whom adore her raven-haired-bangs and curvaceous figure, not to mention the twinkle in her eye and the sweetness of her smile.

Yes, Bettie Page did bondage pix while working with Irving and Paula Klaw (brother & sister team managing Movie Star News). These bondage photos were tame, but for its time - in the conservative '50s - it was risqué and quite ... stimulating. And yes, Bettie Page posed nude many many times ... why wouldn't she?

We, her fervent fans, admit to enjoying the status of her being the underground beauty - meaning, she isn't hyped up or revered so publicly as Marilyn Monroe, and other starlets. We like it that Bettie's image has a certain amount of Edge, Darkness, Sex, Uniqueness, Cultish ... the list of words can go on!

Bettie accepted her body, was a healthy woman in her '30s, and beautiful - the fact that she wasn't bashful about posing nude for a bunch of photographers gives me the inkling that she was comfortable with who she was. And that is something to cherish.
Bunny Yeager captured Bettie's beauty in its most natural state often - by bringing Bettie out to the beach, where she was happiest being free as a bird, as well as naked as a new born babe.

Part of what I find remarkable, is that Bettie was in her 30s when she did all those photographs we adore so much. Imagine that! There was a time not so long ago, for models, that being over 25 in the 'biz' was death! But, Bettie shows us that it doesn't matter what your age is - in fact, that women only get better as we get older (and don't you forget it!). She was 5'5'' and curvaceous to boot!

Bettie crosses so many boundaries - race, culture, sexual preference, age, sex, religion, group, work, click ... so much variety! And all coming together under the Bettie umbrella!
